Maintain a per-driver tips ledger so each employee receives exactly what customers tipped them. Under Jordanian labor law, tips belong to the employee — misappropriating tips is a legal violation.

Labor inspectors and auditors check that tips are passed to employees in full and not retained by the restaurant. An aging balance in Tips Payable to Staff beyond one payroll cycle indicates unpaid tips — a compliance risk. Ensure tips are excluded from the restaurant's taxable revenue.
